The Russian American Cultural Center is excited to be celebrating its 11th Anniversary and the extraordinary success of our exhibition Homage to Diaghilev's Enduring Legacy. Rediscovered Gems of the 20th Century at the Ana Tzarev Gallery, 24 West 57 Street on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, to benefit the RACC’s Educational Programs, an upcoming groundbreaking exhibit of emerging Russian-American artists, and to fulfill RACC's goal to establish a permanent home & museum.

The evening's featured performance, Beyond the Mind is a physical, visual movement-based piece created by an exciting team of emerging artists, performers, and live musicians. Inspired by Russian art, theater, and poetry of the early 20th century, the performance explores the shape and geometry of urban routine and the irrationality of everyday life.
The performance coincides with the current exhibition on view and takes place at various times throughout the evening.
